What this bill would do
The SWIFT VOTE Act directs the Election Assistance Commission to provide grants to eligible jurisdictions. These funds are intended for procuring or maintaining electronic pollbooks, known as e-pollbooks. Additionally, the grants support developing the capability to collect and share wait time information for Federal elections. Priority is given to jurisdictions needing e-pollbooks to reduce wait times or those developing wait time reporting capabilities. To receive funding, jurisdictions must meet specific application, reporting, and training requirements. The bill authorizes $120,000,000 for these purposes.
