What this bill would do

This Act, known as the "Saving Homeowners from Overregulation With Exceptional Rinsing Act" or the "SHOWER Act," seeks to amend the Energy Policy and Conservation Act. It specifically focuses on revising the legal definition of a showerhead. Under this proposal, the term would take on the meaning provided in ASME A112.18.1-2024. Additionally, the new definition would explicitly exclude safety shower showerheads. The Secretary of Energy is required to update regulations to match this new definition within 180 days.
