What this bill would do
This bill, titled the "Honor Inauguration Day Act," requires the American flag to be flown at its highest peak on every presidential Inauguration Day. Congress finds that the nation's electoral history is an inspiration and that the vote is the ultimate expression of the people's will. The Act intends to celebrate this expression of the people's will. Under Section 3, the flag must be flown at its highest peak regardless of any other provision of law.
