What this bill would do
The Restroom Access Act of 2025 seeks to provide people with certain medical conditions access to employee restrooms in retail establishments. If a retail establishment has a restroom not usually open to the public, they must allow a customer to use it under specific conditions. These conditions include the customer presenting a specific identification card and the presence of at least two employees. The bill also requires the Secretary of Labor to create a system for distributing these identification cards. This access is granted when a public restroom is not available and there is no obvious health or safety risk.
