What this bill would do

This bill proposes amendments to the Endangered Species Act of 1973. It directs that the Secretary must not distinguish between animals that are naturally propagated and those that are artificially propagated when making determinations under the Act. Additionally, it authorizes the use of artificial propagation for species mitigation purposes. These changes apply to species regardless of whether they were determined to be endangered or threatened before, on, or after this Act is passed.
