What this bill would do
The Supporting Innovation in Agriculture Act of 2025 seeks to amend the Internal Revenue Code to create a new tax credit. This credit is designed for investments in innovative agricultural technology projects. The credit amount is set at 30 percent of the qualified investment for a taxable year. Projects must focus on producing, storing, processing, and packaging specialty crops using precision or controlled environment agriculture. These projects must be placed in service before December 31, 2035. The amendments apply to property where construction began after January 1, 2025.
