What this bill would do

This bill, known as the "Alien Removal Not Resort Stays Act," aims to end the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Shelter and Services Program. It stops all federal funds from being used for this program or any similar future programs starting on the date the act is passed. Additionally, any money left in the program that hasn't been spent yet will be moved elsewhere. These remaining funds will be merged into the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement account. The redirected money is intended for expenses related to enforcement, detention, and removal operations.
