What this bill would do
This bill establishes a national graduate nurse education program under title XVIII of the Social Security Act. Eligible hospitals can receive payments to cover reasonable costs for providing qualified clinical education to advanced practice registered nurses. Participating hospitals must lead a Graduate Nurse Education Hub and partner with schools of nursing and non-hospital community-based care settings. Hospitals are required to submit annual reports detailing program activities, student numbers, and patient care metrics. The Secretary of Health and Human Services will manage the program and report its results to Congress.
