What this bill would do
This bill is known as the Kylie's Voices for Childhood Cancer Act. It requires States to include at least two pediatric cancer experts in their comprehensive cancer control coalitions to receive certain funding. The bill directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to establish a Cancer Control Plan Pediatric Cancer Advisory Committee. This new advisory committee is tasked with developing resources, best practices, and recommendations for handling pediatric cancer in State plans. The advisory committee must also hold annual meetings with State coalition representatives and report its findings to Congress within two years. Finally, the bill updates maternal and child health services block grants to help fund pediatric-specific initiatives and implement the committee's recommendations.
