What this amendment would do
Mr. Scott of South Carolina submitted an amendment to the bill S. 4668, which deals with student athletes and intercollegiate athletics. If we want to hold our elected officials accountable and look out for the good of the people, we need to know what they are trying to change.
This amendment adds a new section to the end of title I, specifically SEC. 129. PROHIBITION ON CERTAIN FOREIGN FINANCING OF INTERCOLLEGIATE SPORTS.
Its Purpose
The purpose of the amendment is to stop outside foreign money from flowing into American college sports. It aims to change the bill by requiring the President to prohibit certain groups from financing intercollegiate sports in the United States.
