What this amendment would do
SA 6758, submitted by Mr. Paul, aims to replace the entirety of bill S. 4668. The amendment proposes a new act titled the Collegiate Sports Integrity Act.
The purpose of this amendment is to create an antitrust exemption for the following:
- Intercollegiate athletic conferences
- Interstate intercollegiate athletic associations
By doing this, the amendment ensures that antitrust laws do not apply to these specific organizations.
