What this amendment would do

SA 6425, submitted by Ms. Cortez Masto, aims to change the definition of "critical technologies" used for reviews by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.

The purpose of this amendment is to add the following to Section 721(a)(6)(A) of the Defense Production Act of 1950:

  • Critical and emerging technologies that are identified in the most recent update to the Critical and Emerging Technologies List published by the National Science and Technology Council.
