What this amendment would do

SA 6379, submitted by Ms. Cortez Masto and Mr. Grassley, aims to expand the investigative authorities of the United States Secret Service.

The amendment seeks to change Section 3056(b) of title 18, United States Code by adding the following:

It adds 1960 to the list of references in paragraph (1).
In paragraph (3), it adds structured transactions to the list of items.
It removes the words federally insured.
It adds a specific definition for institution as defined in section 5312 of title 31.
