What this amendment would do

SA 6051, submitted by Mr. Padilla, aims to add a section to bill S. 4784 regarding Navy University Research Initiatives (PE 0601103N).

The purpose of this amendment is to:

  • Require the Secretary of the Navy to continue the Navy University Research Initiatives and carry out its funded activities during fiscal year 2027.

  • Ensure that at least $116,900,000 from the amount authorized for research, development, test, and evaluation in fiscal year 2027 is available for these initiatives.
