What this amendment would do

SA 5960, submitted by Mr. KAINE, is an amendment to bill S. 4784. This bill deals with appropriations for fiscal year 2027 for the Department of Defense, military construction, and defense activities of the Department of Energy.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a new section, SEC. 1218, to the end of subtitle B of title XII.

This addition aims to:

  • Repeal the joint resolution known as ``A joint resolution to promote peace and stability in the Middle East'' (Public Law 85-7; 22 U.S.C. 1961 et seq.).
