What this amendment would do
SA 5423, submitted by Mr. Warnock, aims to add a section to title IV of S. Con. Res. 33.
The purpose of this amendment is to create a point of order in the Senate against any bill, joint resolution, motion, amendment, amendment between the Houses, or conference report that allows funds to be used for racial profiling and roving patrols.
To waive or suspend this point of order, or to sustain an appeal of the Chair's ruling on it, an affirmative vote of three-fifths of the Members of the Senate is required.
