What this amendment would do
SA 5376, submitted by Ms. Rosen, aims to add a section to title III of S. Con. Res. 33.
The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund to combat political corruption at the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
It seeks to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to make adjustments to:
- Committee allocations
- Aggregates
- Other appropriate levels in the resolution
- The pay-as-you-go ledger
These changes would apply to legislation relating to combating political corruption at the Federal Bureau of Investigation by looking at how the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation uses a Government plane for personal travel.
This is provided that the legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2026 through 2035.
