What this amendment would do

SA 5139, submitted by Mr. Whitehouse, aims to add a new section called TITLE V--POLICY STATEMENTS IN BOTH HOUSES to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 33.

The purpose of this amendment is to stop the obligation or expenditure of Federal funds for the Department of Justice until two things happen:

  • The Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation must disclose complete records regarding the investigation into Tom Homan for accepting $50,000 from undercover Federal Bureau of Investigation agents.

  • There must be a full explanation of why that investigation was terminated.
