What this amendment would do

SA 5096, submitted by Ms. Warren, aims to add a section to title III of the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 33.

The purpose is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund regarding bank examinations. This allows the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to adjust budgetary levels and the pay-as-you-go ledger for items relating to bank examinations.

This may include legislation that requires the disclosure of confidential bank supervisory information concerning Jeffrey Epstein and his coconspirators, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit between fiscal years 2026 and 2035.
