What this amendment would do
SA 5066, submitted by Mr. LUJAN, aims to add a section to title III of the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 33.
The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund focused on the accessibility of polling locations on Tribal land.
It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to:
- Revise allocations of committees or committees.
- Revise aggregates and other appropriate levels in the resolution.
- Make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for specific bills, joint resolutions, amendments, motions, or conference reports regarding the accessibility of polling locations on Tribal land.
This is permitted as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit between fiscal years 2026 through 2035.
