What this amendment would do

SA 5060, submitted by Mr. LUJAN, aims to add a section to title III of S. Con. Res. 33.

The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund for strengthening community health centers.

It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to:

  • Revise allocations of committees or committees.
  • Revise aggregates and other appropriate levels in the resolution.
  • Make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for specific bills, joint resolutions, amendments, motions, or conference reports.

This is allowed for legislation relating to strengthening community health centers, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit between fiscal years 2026 through 2035.
