What this amendment would do
SA 4992, submitted by Mr. WELCH, is an amendment to S. Con. Res. 33. This resolution sets the congressional budget for fiscal year 2026 and the budget levels for fiscal years 2027 through 2035.
The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund to the end of title III.
This amendment aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to do the following for legislation relating to improving small farm crop insurance offerings:
- Revise allocations of committees or committees.
- Revise aggregates and other appropriate levels in the resolution.
- Make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
These actions are permitted as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total of fiscal years 2026 through 2035.
