What this amendment would do

SA 4926, submitted by Ms. Hirono, aims to add a section to S. Con. Res. 33 regarding a deficit-neutral reserve fund.

The purpose of this amendment is to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to make adjustments to budget levels and the pay-as-you-go ledger.

These adjustments would apply to legislation that requires Federal employees to wear and use body-worn cameras while performing immigration enforcement activities, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit between fiscal years 2026 through 2035.
