What this amendment would do
SA 4889, submitted by Ms. Rosen, aims to add a section to title III of S. Con. Res. 33.
The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund specifically for funding the Transportation Security Administration.
It allows the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to:
- Revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other levels in the resolution.
- Make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for specific legislative actions (such as bills, joint resolutions, or conference reports) regarding the funding of the Transportation Security Administration.
This is provided that the legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2026 through 2035.
