What this amendment would do
SA 4879, submitted by Ms. Rosen, aims to add a section to title III of S. Con. Res. 33.
The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund for legislation that relates to prohibiting surveillance pricing in grocery stores.
It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to:
- Revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other levels in the resolution.
- Make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for specific bills, joint resolutions, amendments, motions, or conference reports.
This is provided that the legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2026 through 2035.
