What this amendment would do

SA 4878, submitted by Ms. Rosen, aims to add a section to the end of title III of S. Con. Res. 33.

The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to the prohibition of live event contracts on sports.

This would allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to:

  • Revise allocations of committees or committees, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.
  • Make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for specific bills, joint resolutions, amendments, motions, or conference reports that relate to prohibiting live event contracts on sports.

This is permitted as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit between fiscal years 2026 through 2035.
