What this amendment would do
SA 4824, submitted by Ms. Hirono, Mr. Kelly, and Mr. Van Hollen, aims to add a section to title IV of S. Con. Res. 33.
The purpose of this amendment is to create a point of order in the Senate against any reconciliation legislation, amendment, or conference report that does not repeal the tax credit under section 25F of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
To waive this point of order or sustain an appeal of the Chair's ruling, an affirmative vote of three-fifths of the Members of the Senate is required.
