What this amendment would do
SA 4805, submitted by Mr. Hickenlooper, aims to add a section to title III of S. Con. Res. 33.
The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund for legislation that requires Federal law enforcement officers to wear and operate a body camera while on duty during immigration enforcement activities.
- It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to adjust budgetary levels and the pay-as-you-go ledger for related legislation.
- This is permitted as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2026 through 2035.
