What this amendment would do

This amendment, submitted by Mr. Sanders and Mr. Welch, aims to add a section to bill H.R. 7148 to repeal specific parts of Public Law 119-21.

The amendment seeks to change the following:

  • U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement: It repeals sections 90003 and 100052 of the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" and rescinds any unobligated balances from those sections.

  • Eligibility Determinations: It repeals section 71107 of the Act titled "An Act to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14" and rescinds the amounts appropriated under section 71107(c). This ensures title XIX of the Social Security Act is applied as if that section had not been enacted.

  • Medicaid Cost Sharing Requirements: It repeals section 71120 of the Act titled "An Act to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14" and rescinds the amounts appropriated under section 71120(c). This also ensures title XIX of the Social Security Act is applied as if that section had not been enacted.
