What this amendment would do

SA 4279, submitted by Mr. Murphy, is an amendment to bill H.R. 7148.

The purpose of this amendment is to stop the use of funds from this Act or any other Act to perform civil arrests or apprehensions of noncitizens.

It aims to add a requirement that these actions, including immigration enforcement authorized under section 287 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, cannot happen without a judicial warrant from a Federal district court or magistrate judge.
