What this amendment would do

SA 4239, submitted by Mr. Kennedy, is an amendment to bill H.R. 7148.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a requirement to section 5019 of division E. It aims to make the President review the eligibility of South Africa as a beneficiary sub-Saharan African country.

This review relates to:

Section 112 of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (19 U.S.C. 3721).
Section 506A of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C. 2466a).
