SA 4225, submitted by Ms. Smith and Ms. Klobuchar, is an amendment to bill H.R. 6938.

The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that no funds from the Act are used to stop a State law enforcement agency from participating in an investigation.

This investigation concerns a Federal law enforcement officer-involved shooting that took place in Minnesota on January 7, 2026.
