What this amendment would do

SA 4206, submitted by Mr. Whitehouse, is an amendment to bill H.R. 6938.

The purpose of this amendment is to stop the Secretary of the Interior from using funds from any division of the Act to pause leases or activities related to holding a lease for an applicable energy project. This restriction would apply during the 1 year period after a Federal court issues a stop work order or an injunction on that energy project.
