What this amendment would do

SA 4184, submitted by Mr. Bennet and Mr. Hickenlooper, aims to add a section regarding Department of Energy award cancellations to bill H.R. 6938.

The amendment proposes the following:

It prohibits any agency or entity funded by the Act from terminating a Federal award, requiring renegotiation or rescoping, or refusing to fund future budget periods based on the award no longer meeting agency priorities or program goals.
It requires the reinstatement of any Federal award terminated after September 30, 2024, for the same reasons, under the original terms and conditions.
