What this amendment would do

SA 4181, submitted by Mr. Sanders, Ms. Alsobrooks, and Mr. Van Hollen, is an amendment to bill H.R. 6938.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a prohibition on the use of funds for naming federal property after a sitting president.

Specifically, it aims to ensure that no funds from any division of the Act are used to:

  • Name
  • Rename
  • Designate
  • Redesignate

Any Federal building, land, or other asset in the name of a sitting President.
