What this amendment would do

SA 4153, submitted by Mr. Hickenlooper and Mr. Bennet, is an amendment to bill H.R. 6938.

The purpose of this amendment is to change how the National Science Foundation awards base funds to the National Center for Atmospheric Research for fiscal year 2026.

It aims to add the following requirements:

The funding amount provided must be no less than the amount provided for fiscal year 2024.
The National Science Foundation must ensure that all facilities, capabilities, and operations of the National Center for Atmospheric Research continue.
