What this amendment would do

SA 4147, submitted by Mr. Padilla, is an amendment intended to be proposed to SA 3951 and H.R. 4016.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a section to division A of the bill that restricts how funds are used. Specifically, it aims to ensure that:

  • None of the funds from the Act are used to deploy federalized members of the Armed Forces for immigration enforcement in the interior of the United States.
  • These funds cannot be used for those members to serve as a support function to immigration enforcement in the interior of the United States.
