What this amendment would do

SA 4014, submitted by Mr. Padilla and Ms. Cantwell, aims to add a prohibition to bill H.R. 4016.

The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that no funds from any division of the Act are used to issue leases or authorizations for the exploration, development, or production of natural gas or oil in the following planning areas:

  • The Washington/Oregon Planning Area
  • The Northern California Planning Area
  • The Central California Planning Area
  • The Southern California Planning Area
