What this amendment would do

SA 3891, submitted by Mr. Cruz and Mr. Lujan, aims to change the International Bridge Act of 1972 by updating the following:

It changes the date from December 31, 2024, to December 31, 2035.
It updates the list of permitted projects to include:
- An international bridge between the United States and Mexico.
- An international bridge between the United States and Canada.
- A port of entry on the international land border between the United States and Mexico.
- A port of entry on the international land border between the United States and Canada.
It adds the phrase "or land port of entry" after "international bridge" in several sections of the act.
