What this amendment would do
SA 3884, submitted by Mr. Booker, is an amendment to be proposed to amendment SA 3748 for bill S. 2296.
The purpose of this amendment is to add a new section, SEC. 515, which focuses on reporting National Guard deployments within the United States.
It aims to add a requirement for the Secretary of Defense to do the following:
- Submit a report to the congressional defense committees.
- Ensure the report is publicly available.
- Detail the cost of all current deployments of the National Guard within the United States.
- Provide this report no later than 7 days after the Act is enacted, and continue to do so weekly.
