S.Amdt. 3882

SA 3882, submitted by Mr. Booker, is an amendment to amendment SA 3748 for bill S. 2296.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a Detainee Transfer Notification Requirement. It aims to add the following requirements to the bill:

• An appropriate U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer must notify the attorney or designated family member of a person being moved from one immigration detention facility to another.
• This notification must happen no later than 24 hours before the transfer.
• The notification must include the location of the new facility and if that facility is designed to hold people for less than 72 hours.
