What this amendment would do

SA 3843, submitted by Mr. Bennet, aims to change section 1228 of the bill.

The purpose of this amendment is to require the Secretary of Defense and the Director of National Intelligence to ensure the intelligence community provides intelligence support to the Government of Ukraine.

This support includes:

  • Information
  • Intelligence
  • Imagery collection

The goal of this support is to help military operations of the Government of Ukraine that are intended or expected to defend and retake Ukrainian territory as described in section 1245 of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023.
