What this amendment would do
SA 3688, submitted by Mr. Schiff, aims to add a new section (SEC. 724) to the end of subtitle C of title VII of bill S. 2296.
The purpose of this amendment is to require the Secretary of Defense to provide a report to the Senate and House Committees on Armed Services by December 1, 2026.
This report must include recommendations on integrating behaviors and performance and lifestyle medicine—specifically mentioning sleep, exercise, and diet—across the Department of Defense to support military readiness and the health of members of the Armed Forces.
