What this amendment would do

SA 3542, submitted by Mr. Schiff, aims to change section 1046 of bill S. 2296.

The purpose of this amendment is to update the requirements for reporting by adding the following:

  • The total cost of detention of aliens at Department of Defense installations, no matter where they are located.

  • The alien registration numbers of aliens held at Department of Defense installations, or installations where the Department of Defense controls the entry and exit of civilians.
