What this amendment would do
SA 3530, submitted by Mr. Booker, aims to add a new section to bill S. 2296 regarding the fairness of issuing tactical equipment to Diplomatic Security Service personnel.
The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that whenever the Diplomatic Security Service issues tactical gear to personal service contractors, uniform division officers, or Special Agents, they must provide both women's and men's sizing options if those products are commercially available.
- Tactical equipment is defined to include items such as gloves, tactical pants, media jackets, helmets, ballistic plate carriers, and ballistic plates.
