What this amendment would do

SA 3529, submitted by Mr. Booker, aims to modify the annual report on suicide among members of the Armed Forces.

The amendment adds new requirements to the report, specifically adding:

  • An analysis of Defense Organizational Climate Surveys (DEOCSs) and Defense Organizational Climate Pulses (DOCPs) for organizations where suicides occurred to find the percentage of those organizations that had one or more unfavorable command climate factor ratings.

  • A comparison between the percentage of unfavorable command climate factor ratings in those specific organizations and the military departments as a whole.
