The amendment aims to add a new section, SEC. 1067, which requires the following:

  • The Secretary of Defense must submit any standards for detention and rules for the use of force used at Department of Defense installations where aliens are held to the House and Senate Committees on Armed Services.

  • This submission must happen no later than 30 days after the Act is enacted.

  • Any unclassified information about these standards and rules must be published on a website that is available to the public.

The amendment also specifies that the term alien follows the meaning provided in section 101 of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
