What this amendment would do

SA 3524, submitted by Ms. Warren, aims to add a new section to bill S. 2296. Its purpose is to require the Secretary of Defense to keep a record locator system for aliens held at Department of Defense installations on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security.

This system must be updated every 24 hours and include the following information:

  • The location where each alien is being held.
  • The date the alien was taken into custody.
  • The name, age, and gender of the alien.
