What this amendment would do

SA 3382, submitted by Mr. Grassley and Mr. Durbin, aims to extend temporary bankruptcy provisions.

The amendment intends to change the Bankruptcy Threshold Adjustment and Technical Corrections Act by:

  • Striking 2 years and inserting 5 years in Section 2(i)(1).

This change applies retroactively to any case commenced under title 11, United States Code, on or after June 21, 2024, provided the case is still pending on the date the Act is enacted.
