What this amendment would do
SA 3317, submitted by Mr. LEE, aims to add a section to S. 2296 focused on facilitating the review of classified documentation by the Senate.
The amendment proposes the following changes:
- The Director of National Intelligence must facilitate the review of classified documentation when any Senator requests it.
- This facilitation must happen no later than 15 days after the Senator makes the request.
- If the Director allows one Senator to review classified documentation, the Director must also allow any other Senator who requests that same documentation to review it.
